Dr. Mahshid Malakootian earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics in 2014 from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, where her research focused on the expression and functional analysis of long non-coding RNAs during neural differentiation and tumorigenesis. She holds an M.Sc. in Biology: Molecular Genetics (2007) from the same university, with her thesis examining the expression of the Nucleostemin gene in brain tumor tissues.
