Education
Dr. Wenshu Li received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from the College of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University, China, in June 2005. Prior to that, he earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science and Technology from Zhejiang University of Technology in July 2001. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology Engineering from the Department of Light Industry and Chemistry at Qiqihar University, China, graduating in June 1997.
Professional Experience
Dr. Li is currently a Professor at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Hangzhou, China, where he has served since September 2012. His professional address is Room 10-221, Department of Intelligence Recognition and System, located in the Xiasha Higher Education Area. He has been part of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University since 2005, initially joining as an Assistant Professor (2005–2007) and then serving as an Associate Professor (2007). Between December 2007 and June 2010, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Group of MRI Reconstruction in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Dr. Li has extensive programming expertise in a range of languages and technologies. He is proficient in Java, C/C++, JSP, HTML, XML, ASP, Matlab, and Python. These skills support his diverse research activities in computational modeling, visual computing, and intelligent systems.
Research Focus
Dr. Li’s research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence and visual computing. His work primarily focuses on image processing, cognition modeling, face and facial expression recognition, the Web of Things (WoT), and enterprise resource planning (ERP). He has made significant contributions in applying computational techniques to both medical diagnostics and human-computer interaction systems.
Research Grants
Dr. Li has been actively involved in numerous research projects funded at both national and provincial levels. He served as the Principal Investigator on several grants, including a Natural Science Foundation of China project (No. 60702069) on tongue inspection in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Zhejiang Provincial Science Foundation grant (No. Y1080851) focused on facial expression recognition. Other leading projects include research on image analysis technologies for tongue diagnostics, facial expression recognition systems, and android-based management systems for China Power. He has also contributed as a core member to national key projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology and China’s 863 Program, including research on tactile interaction in virtual experimental environments and MRI reconstruction.
Awards
Dr. Li has received several honors recognizing his contributions to scientific research and academic excellence. In 2011, he was awarded the Excellent Young Faculty Award for University Staff in Zhejiang Province. In 2013, he received the Scientific and Technological Progress Award from the China General Chamber of Commerce, acknowledging his impactful innovations in applied research.
