Dr. Shaima Mohamed EP Abdallah holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics (2018) from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, University Tunis El-Manar, Tunisia. She earned her M.Sc. in Medical Physics in 2007 from Al-Mustansiryah University, Iraq, and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technologies in 1999 from Baghdad University. Her foundational education was completed with a baccalaureate in sciences in 1995 from That Al Swari Secondary School, Baghdad.
👩🏫 Teaching Experience
Currently serving as the Senior Research Responsible of Technical Departments at the National Center of Radiation Protection (Tunisia), Dr. Abdallah has over two decades of experience in medical physics, both in clinical and academic settings. Her career spans various positions, including Assistant Professor at the Higher Institute of Medical Technologies of Tunis (ISTMT), where she teaches subjects such as Biophysics, Radiobiology, Radiation Protection, and Quality Assurance in Radiotherapy. She has actively contributed to clinical inspection, calibration, dosimetry, shielding calculations, and the development of internal dosimetry and radiopharmaceutical waste management systems.

Her research interests include Monte Carlo simulation in medical imaging, positron emission tomography (PET), quality assurance in nuclear medicine and radiotherapy, and the development of automated systems for radiopharmaceuticals.
